The Hot Wells Conservancy is proud to announce Southside Provides #FriendsofFolklores.

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Hot Wells Conservancy is supporting the efforts of Southside staple, Folklores Coffee House. As many of you know, Chef Tatu and Emilie of Folklores Coffee House have supported the Conservancy’s mission to restore the Ruin by participating in the Hot Wells Harvest Feast year after year. For the past two months, Chef Tatu has put his operations on hold to prepare and deliver meals to Southside’s most vulnerable: its elderly. The Herrera’s effort has grown from a few dozen residents served to over 15,000 in just a few months.

“When you see… really witness the need that exists in your own neighborhood… you can’t just turn a blind eye to it anymore. We have to do something because our neighbors are hurting.”
- Chef Tatu Herrera
